Fisher International and Puunjalostusinsinöörit (PI) are excited to host a joint webinar on February 9, 2021 on the impacts of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) from the chemical wood processing industry. Marko Summanen, Pirita Huotari, and Osmo Salonen will provide unique perspectives on the topic, as well as how the system dynamics used by STE Analytics can predict future market turning points and analyze the future with scenario tools. Professor Peter Lund will also speak about how energy production in the wood processing industry affects climate change.

The debate on greenhouse gas emissions has become a very topical issue in the pulp & paper industry. For five years, Fisher International has helped participants in the industry reduce the factory-specific CO2 emissions by asking hard-hitting questions: What are current GHG levels in the P&P sector? How does the Finnish pulp & paper industry rank? How can emissions be reduced in the future? What are the related implications for current and future EU investment decisions?

Presentations during the webinar will include:

  • FisherSolve ™ Next and CO2 benchmarking in the pulp and paper industry by Pirita Huotari, Senior Consultant, Fisher International
  • Climate change and cutting emissions by Peter Lund, Professor, Aalto University and Vice Chairman, The Finnish Climate Change
  • Fisher-STE Forecasting turning points in the pulp and paper market by Osmo Salonen, Senior Consultant, Partner and Co-Founder, STE Analytics

If you would like to register for the webinar, please do so here no later than February 7, 2021.
