Marcello Collares

Marcello Collares

Marcello Collares has spent over 15 years of his professional career in the Latin American pulp and paper industry focusing on expansion planning and growth initiatives, management strategy, asset investment, production and cost structure, and commercial operations optimization.

At Fisher International, Marcello leads sales and support for the Latin American client base which includes the top producers in the region, providing advanced business intelligence resources as well as leveraged consulting services.

Before joining Fisher, Marcello held management positions at Votorantim Celulose e Papel (VCP), serving at both the mill and corporate levels in finance and sales including Executive Director Analyst, Pulp Business Controller, and General Manager of the first VCP North American office.

Marcello earned his Mechanical Engineer degree from the Universidade de São Paulo (EESC – USP), and holds an MBA from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), Brazil. He writes the “Perspective” column for O Papel Magazine.
